Bachelor of Science in Nursing (B.Sc. Nursing):
A four-year undergraduate program designed to provide a solid foundation in nursing theory, clinical practice, and healthcare management.
The curriculum includes subjects like anatomy, physiology, pharmacology, nursing care, community health, and medical-surgical nursing.
Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing:
A two-year program for registered nurses (RNs) to upgrade their qualifications to a bachelor’s degree in nursing.
Diploma in General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM):
A three-year program that prepares students for hands-on roles as general nurses and midwives.
The college may also offer M.Sc. Nursing and certificate programs in specialized areas, though this depends on the course structure in place.
Clinical Training and Internships:
Clinical training is an integral part of the curriculum, and students are given hands-on experience in affiliated hospitals and healthcare institutions in and around Mangalore.
The college collaborates with hospitals to provide students with exposure to various specialties such as medical-surgical nursing, pediatric nursing, psychiatric nursing, obstetrics and gynecology, and community health.
Students undergo mandatory internships during their final year, where they practice in real-life clinical settings under the supervision of experienced healthcare professionals.
